“When you’re hot, you’re hot.” This phrase pretty much sums up some of the main ideas in garnering momentum when you are in marketing. When you have momentum, you need to find a way to keep it going so that you can squeeze every last drop of hype out of the machine.

Let’s back up for a second, though. How do you know you have momentum? How do you know your product is gaining popularity and notoriety?

We’ve gone through this before, but looking at what is on social media is a great way to see how your product is doing. For example, if you see that some top celebrities are using your product, you can rejoice because you know that by using the product, the celebrities are essentially working as advertisers for you.

One way to make it easier for your products to trend and be seen on social media is to establish your brand image on that platform. Make sure that somebody who is current and funny is running your social media accounts. Have them establish some kind of hashtag so that it is easier for your product to trend or be hot. This will end up helping you garner even more sales and customers than you ever would have imagined without social media.
